Koch-Chemie Mild Clay Bar — the blue clay, and the gentle one. It lifts light to moderate bonded contamination such as road film, tree resin, insect residue and industrial fallout from paintwork and glass, gliding smoothly rather than biting. The clay for maintenance decontamination and finishes you don't want to touch with anything aggressive.

Always use with plenty of clay lubricant such as Clay Spray, keep the surface wet, and fold the clay frequently to expose a clean face. If you drop it, bin it — a dropped bar picks up grit that will scratch. 200g.

Choosing between the two: reach for Mild for regular maintenance and lightly contaminated paint. Step up to the Abrasive Clay Bar only when contamination won't come off with this — and remember the red one needs polishing afterwards.
